ASIC Land, TSMC Tesla ‘equipped with AI computer’ semiconductor production increases… Highlighted as the only domestic partner

ASIC Land’s stock price is strong in early trading. It appears that investor interest has been drawn as Taiwan’s TSMC, the world’s largest foundry (semiconductor consignment production) company, has reportedly begun producing next-generation semiconductor chips to be mounted on the U.S. electric car company Tesla’s supercomputer ‘Dojo’.

There are observations that the fact that ASIC LAND is TSMC’s only partner in Korea has been highlighted.

As of 9:43 am on the 7th, ASIC Land is trading at 59,000 won, up 2,200 won (+3.87%) from the previous day.

On the 5th local time, Taiwanese media, including the Free Times, citing sources, reported that Taiwan’s TSMC, the world’s largest foundry (consignment production of semiconductors), has reportedly begun production of next-generation semiconductor chips to be mounted on the supercomputer ‘Dojo’ of American electric vehicle company Tesla. did.

The point is that TSMC recently disclosed this fact at a technology conference held in Santa Clara, California, USA.

Dojo is an artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer designed to train self-driving software by processing data and video data collected by Tesla vehicles.

Sources said TSMC has begun production of Tesla’s ‘Dojo’ next-generation educational module, and that it will provide a complex system with more than 40 times the computational performance of the current one by 2027 using an advanced packaging process called ‘Chip on Wafer on Substrate’ (CoWos). explained.

Previously, TSMC announced at a recent technology conference held in Santa Clara, California that it plans to start producing semiconductors using the 1.6-nano process in the second half of 2026.

This news appears to have attracted anticipation and buying pressure to ASIC Land, Korea’s only partner of TSMC and a system semiconductor company.

This company plays the role of converting and optimizing the design of a fabless (semiconductor design company) into a form that can be produced by a foundry (semiconductor consignment production) company.

In particular, ASICLAND is the only official partner (VCA) of global foundry company TSMC and an official partner of ARM, the world’s largest semiconductor IP company. Using artificial intelligence (AI) automated design solutions, we provide a ‘total turnkey service’ that covers all stages of semiconductor production, from the first stage of semiconductor design to front-end, back-end, packaging, testing, and product delivery.

In addition, ASICLAND recently announced in an interview with the media that it would establish a research and development (R&D) center in Taiwan and advance into the country to strengthen its capabilities in cutting-edge processes and advanced packaging. The establishment of a Taiwanese R&D center is expected to increase competitiveness in receiving orders for semiconductors that require cutting-edge processes, including artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators. The most advanced semiconductor development project that ASICLAND has undertaken to date is 5nm. ASICLAND plans to secure development capabilities below 3nm and cutting-edge packaging design technology to win orders for the latest AI accelerator.
